Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant-VNA for our coastal care team. Working under the Clinical Manager and a Registered Physical Therapist, you will help patients in the Fairhaven, Acushnet, and New Bedford area to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore motor function.

This full-time, day-shift role includes weekend rotation, about 3+ weekly drive travel, competitive pay, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Two years related experience required.
• Massachusetts licensure as Physical Therapist Assistant; Rhode Island may be required by geographic area.
• CPR certification required.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist to prevent disability and relieve pain.

We are searching for a talented Physical Therapy Assistant-VNA

Hours:40hrs

Shift:Day shift with weekend rotation roughly every 9 weeks, 1 Holiday per year; Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; varies based on current staffing

Location: Primary coverage area: Fairhaven, Acushnet, and New Bedford.

Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and the Registered Physical Therapist, work with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop, improve or restore motor function and maintain maximum physical, emotional, social and mental performance within the persons capabilities.

Qualifications

• An Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Two (2) years of related experience required.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• CPR certification is required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $29.58 - USD $40.80 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

Varies based on current staffing. W/E rotation roughly every 9 weeks. 1 Holiday per year
