Job summary

WeCare Centers in Montoursville, PA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and reduce pain. The PTA will assist the physical therapist, prepare patients and equipment, and document responses to treatment.

Graduate of an accredited PTA program with a current State PTA license is required; outpatient experience is preferred. We offer health, dental, and vision coverage, voluntary benefits, same-day pay, a 401k with discretionary match, and EAP.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
