Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Montgomery County, MD, is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time home health position.

The PTA will travel to Chevy Chase, Potomac, and Rockville to provide treatment, education, and interventions under a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold current licensure/certification in Maryland.
• Graduation from a two-year PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association with transcript or diploma.
• At least one year PTA experience and proficiency exam per requirements.
• At least one year of work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Chevy Chase, Potomac and Rockville areas for home visits.
• Provide treatments, tests, client education and interventions as delegated by a licensed PT.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate with supervising PT.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and PPE guidelines.

Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA, for a full-time opportunity performing home health visits for our Montgomery County Senior Living Visits office.This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in senior living facilities throughout Montgomery County, Maryland.

This PTA will primarily be traveling to Chevy Chase, Potomac and Rockville area.

As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Each Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) must:

• Have current licensure or certification in the state of MD.
• Have graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
• Have one year of appropriate experience as an Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.

Additional Information:

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications: $43.00-51.00 per point.
