Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient care across age groups in accordance with the supervising PT's plan of care.

You will educate patients and families, document treatment sessions, and participate in evidence-based practice within the facility's policies. The role includes range-of-motion and therapy modalities, with potential aquatic therapy duties as applicable.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA (IDFPR) or eligible for licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA
• Board eligible or to successfully complete board exam on next available date

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the plan of care and adjusts treatment after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Completes daily documentation and uses the EMR per policy.
• Possibly participates in annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement requirements.
• Administers treatments including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.
