Sigma Health Rehab in Syracuse, NY is actively seeking a weekend Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join Bishop Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a skilled nursing facility. You will provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT and help residents regain function.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.
• Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities that follow the plan of care set out by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Assist residents in carrying out daily activities.
• Monitor residents' performance in therapy activities, provide encouragement and document on residents as needed.
• Teach residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function.
• Collaborate with the PT to establish a rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort

Education
