Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility at Northern Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, in Nanuet, New York. The PTA will assist with patient care under a supervising PT, contributing to resident recovery in a state-of-the-art rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license is required and active.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident's motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques such as stretching and massage, assist with exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with laws.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.
