Sigma Health Rehab in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. You will work under a supervising physical therapist to implement the plan of care and support resident rehabilitation goals.

Ideal candidates are licensed in New York or currently completing PTA requirements, with experience in geriatric or SNF settings preferred. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, PTO from day one, and ongoing CEU opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with various techniques such as stretching and massage; assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.

PTA Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
