Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in New York is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our geriatric care team in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

You will support the PT with mobility therapies, assess residents, and help them improve function, emphasizing independence and safe, compassionate care. A valid New York PTA license and SNF experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid PTA license in the state of practice.
• Ability to evaluate and treat residents independently without direct supervision.
• Passion for geriatric population and care in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PT with therapies to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Promote functional activities to enhance residents' independence.
• Contribute to preventing disability through therapeutic interventions.
