Job summary

Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for per diem coverage to join our interdisciplinary team. You will assist licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering individualized rehabilitation plans for our guests.

Qualifications include an accredited PTA program and AP TA-approved completion, with the ability to assist in exercise programs, manual therapy, and mobility-focused treatments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Completion of a PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move guests with mobility impairments.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with development and implementation of treatment plans under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Perform rehabilitation therapy treatments, including exercise programs, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of guests' physical function, range of motion, strength, and mobility.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate effectively with guests, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Participate in guest care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss guests' progress and plan for discharge.

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our guests.
