Job summary

The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in New York is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our geriatric care team in a skilled nursing setting.

The PTA will assist the supervising PT, contribute to mobility and pain relief plans, and help residents maintain independence through functional activities.

Qualifications

• Active NY PTA license required.
• Experience in geriatric or SNF setting preferred.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PT with therapies designed to improve mobility and relieve pain.
• Promote functional activities to enhance residents’ overall fitness and independence.
• Provide care within a skilled nursing facility and collaborate with the care team.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.
