Job summary

WeCare Centers in Mercer, PA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient mobility and functional recovery in an outpatient setting. The PTA will collaborate with the physical therapist to tailor treatments, prepare patients and equipment, and monitor progress throughout each session.

The ideal candidate has an accredited PTA program background, active state PTA licensure, and outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
