Job summary

WeCare at Avalon Springs Care Center is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team in Mercer, PA. The PTA helps residents improve mobility and move forward under the supervision of a physical therapist.

Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an active PA license is required; outpatient experience is preferred. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

• Outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to progress or ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare patients and equipment for therapy and implement treatment plans, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Record patient's reactions and provide status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Use assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
