Job summary

WeCare Centers in Franklin, PA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to help residents improve mobility and move forward. The PTA assists the physical therapy team under the direction of a licensed PT, contributing to patient progress and comfort.

The role focuses on preparing patients, assisting with exercises, modalities, and mobility training; documenting responses; and supporting the team with safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Outpatient experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.

• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.

• Recording patient's reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.

• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
