Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Austell, GA is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled PT services on-site, monitor progress, and guide home exercises within a fast-paced team. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and collaboration with supervising clinicians to ensure high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will hold an Associate degree, PTA program completion, GA PTA license (or eligibility), CPR for Healthcare Providers, and CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or related field required.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program required.
• Current Georgia PTA license (or eligibility to obtain) required.
• CPR certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments per physician orders and plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising PT.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs and post-discharge care.
• Document treatments, progress, and discharge planning accurately.
• Maintain confidential and compliant patient records.
• Record treatment charges and complete daily documentation.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized treatment areas and equipment.
• Provide support to Physical Therapy Aides as needed.
• Respond to urgent or emergent situations per protocol.
• Occasional administrative support including answering phones and scheduling patients.
• Engage with patients to restore mobility and reduce pain in a team-based setting.
