Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a full-time, day shift Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. You will organize and deliver medically prescribed PT to patients with diverse impairments, aiming to maximize functional outcomes while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is offered, and candidates should have a BS in Physical Therapy with NM licensure or eligibility, plus BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Current licensure or licensure eligible in Physical Therapy in NM.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy for patients with varying impairments to restore function and mobility.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and patient safety standards.

• Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.

Responsibilities

Responsible for organizing and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to individuals with developmental, physical, cognitive, and/or emotional impairments, disabilities, and/or handicaps to assist in reaching optimal function within their physical limitations. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Physical Therapy in the State of NM.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of related experience.
