Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant on a PRN basis to support patient mobility and independence.

You will work under supervising PTs delivering individualized care, with access to education support and scheduling flexibility.

Eligible candidates must have an Associate Degree, be licensed as a PTA, and obtain BLS within 30 days; the role offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed PTA in the state where practicing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence
