Job summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at an assisted living and memory care community in Naples, Florida. The PTA will provide skilled treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help establish the therapy program from the start.

You will monitor resident progress, document thoroughly, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and lead wellness activities while delivering resident-centered care

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
  • Valid PTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled PTA treatments under PT supervision to improve mobility and independence.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR.
  • Collaborate with the PT and care team regarding progress and changes in function.
  • Lead or participate in team development meetings.
  • Conduct or assist with wellness programs for residents.

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at an assisted living and memory care community in Naples, Florida. Vertis Therapy is launching its therapy program at this community in mid-October, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of the program from the start. This beautiful community offers a welcoming, comfortable environment with thoughtfully designed spaces for both assisted living and memory care residents. You'll have the opportunity to help establish and grow the therapy program while providing meaningful, resident-centered care.

The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, monitor resident progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized plans of care. The PTA will also communicate resident progress and any changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and other members of the care team as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Treatment: Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve safety, functional mobility, strength, and independence.
  • Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress, response to treatment, and any changes in functional status or needs.
  • Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings.
  • Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license or license eligibility.
  • Skills: Proficient in implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
  • Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
