Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to join an outpatient therapy team. You’ll assess and treat patients, educate families, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary group to improve outcomes and patient experience.

Join a collaborative and patient-focused therapy team where your skills make a real impact. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll treat, and guide patients through personalized recovery plans. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and enhance the patient experience, all while growing your own clinical skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assess and treat patients referred to the Physical Therapy department
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, therapy plans, and home exercises
• Document progress notes accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in staff meetings and case management
• Supervise rehab techs, and volunteers
• Participate in departmental initiatives and student programs

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Associates Degree (minimum) in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Licensure & Certifications: Certificate as Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Indiana Current CPR certification
• Experience: Clinical experience preferred New graduates welcome
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication Problem-solving and sound judgment Ability to manage varying caseloads and schedules Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to departmental needs
