Job summary

Physical Therapy NOW seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient clinic in Homestead, FL. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to carry out treatment plans, deliver therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and neuromuscular re-education to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited PTA degree, state licensure, and strong communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license in the applicable state.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required based on clinic policy.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, front desk staff, technicians, and clinic leadership.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred in many clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy support, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility activities.
• Assist patients with rehabilitation programs based on the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home programs.
• Document treatments accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with scheduling coordination and patient engagement to support clinic flow.
