Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Rehabilitation department in an inpatient setting. The role requires a California PTA license (or pending) and BLS certification, with typical duties under the Physical Therapist's supervision and a focus on acute care teamwork.

The position is 20 hours per week, with a TH-SAT one week and FR-SAT the other, in the Hillcrest area. A strong communicator who works well in fast-paced teams will thrive here.

Qualifications

• BLS for Health Care Provider

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy under supervision of the Physical Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind, and quality of the services of the therapist assistant.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools and provide age specific care as established for area and job title.
• Assist in providing therapy according to licensure, code of ethics, and policies while supporting the rehabilitation team in acute care settings.

The Physical Therapy Assistant assists in providing therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind, and quality of the services of the therapist assistant through a continuum of care.
