Job summary

Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego seeks a Care Team Assistant for a full-time evening shift (64 hours per pay period) at Hillcrest. You will collaborate with care teams to deliver safe patient care and support clerical, logistics, and patient services duties.

The role includes assisting with patient care under clinician direction and helping patients with daily activities while maintaining a clean, safe environment. BLS certification and excellent interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care team members to ensure safe and optimal patient care.
• Support the unit with clerical, patient logistics, equipment/supply, charge reconciliation and patient service duties.
• Assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under clinician direction.
• Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collect data, maintain a safe, organized environment.

Qualifications

Required:

Preferred::

• Multiple patient care skills preferred.
• Prefer one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
