Job summary

Mercy is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to support a licensed Physical Therapist in providing patient-centered care. The PTA will perform delegated therapy procedures, adjust treatment within the plan, document progress, and ensure safety and dignity for all patients and families in the hospital setting.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree, current state licensure, and Health Care Provider BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Active state licensure in practice state or temporary permit.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapist with patient treatments.
• Document patient progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Provide direction to Physical Therapy aide and coordinate department workload.
• Address age-specific patient needs and maintain patient safety as per policy.
