Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered therapy. You will perform delegated procedures, adjust treatments per patient status, and document progress while ensuring safety and dignity in care.

Responsibilities include assisting aides, coordinating department workload, and addressing age-specific needs. Licensure in the state, BLS certification, and an associate degree are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Currently licensed in the state of practice or holding a state temporary permit where applicable.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy as delegated.
• Modify treatment procedures within the plan of care as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and report safety issues.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate workload.
• Address age-specific needs and treat patients with respect and dignity.
