Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant for the VNA, serving Wareham and surrounding areas. The position is a full-time day shift with occasional weekend rotation, covering approximately 40 hours per week.

You will assist patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore motor function under supervision of a licensed therapist, contributing to high-quality, community-based care in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Two years of related experience required.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or have a valid exemption.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and the Registered Physical Therapist, work with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop, improve or restore motor function and maintain maximum physical, emotional, social and mental performance within the persons capabilities.
