Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at VNA Rehab in Fairhaven, MA. The position covers Fall River and surrounding towns with a typical Day shift (8:00am–4:30pm) and requires driving 3+ times per week.

Responsibilities include helping patients prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore motor function under the supervision of a PT, with a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Two years of related experience required; home care experience preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Massachusetts; Rhode Island eligibility may apply by geographic area.
• CPR certification is required.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 is required or exempt via signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and the Registered PT, work with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore motor function.
• Provide care across a traveling schedule covering Fall River, Dighton, Berkley, Taunton/Raynham area.
• Maintain maximal physical, emotional, social and mental performance within patient capabilities.

We are searching for a talented Physical Therapy Assistant

Hours: 40hrs

Shift:Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: VNA Rehab - Fairhaven, MA; This position is to cover a variety of towns starting in Fall River, Dighton, Berkley & Taunton/Raynham area

Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

• An Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Two (2) years of related experience required. Home care experience preferred.
• Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• CPR certification is required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
