Job summary

Southcoast Health in Wareham seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant–VNA to support home-health rehabilitation plans and help patients regain mobility in their homes and communities.

You will work under the Clinical Manager and PT with a 40-hour day shift, travel to surrounding areas, and compensation based on experience. MA licensure and CPR are required; influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is also required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Two years of related experience required.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, customer service and communication skills essential.
• Proficient computer skills; experience with software, databases and electronic records preferred.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in MA; Rhode Island may be required by geographic assignment.
• CPR certification required.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or lawful exemption required.

Responsibilities

• Under Clinical Manager and PT supervision, assist patients to prevent disability and improve motor function.
• Help patients develop, restore or maintain physical function within their capabilities.

We are searching for a talented Physical Therapy Assistant-VNA

Hours:40hrs

Shift:Day shift with weekend rotation roughly every 9 weeks, 1 Holiday per year; Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; varies based on current staffing

Location: Primary coverage area: Wareham with some coverage in surrounding areas

Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and the Registered Physical Therapist, work with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop, improve or restore motor function and maintain maximum physical, emotional, social and mental performance within the persons capabilities.

• An Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Two (2) years of related experience required.
• Home care experience preferred.
• Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• CPR certification is required.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
