Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Ability to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Georgia.
• Proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, ADL training, and wound dressing.
• Accurately record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts.
• Measure and document patients' range of motion, strength, and vital signs as needed.
• Report patient status to physicians and other healthcare personnel.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and home exercise techniques.
• Assist in quality assurance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs and progress.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
