Job summary

Fortress Nursing is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team. This full-time or PRN role focuses on improving residents’ mobility, strength, and overall quality of life under PT supervision.

You will administer prescribed PT treatments, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to tailor care plans. Texas PTA license active and in good standing are required. SNF experience and Net Health familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the PT
• Implement and modify patients' plans of care under PT supervision
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with interdisciplinary team
• Provide clinical support and education to patients and families
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation per policies and regulations
• Attend required rehab department meetings

Join Our Team as a Full-Time or PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Your Impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist

• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision

• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit
