Job summary

Clarksville Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand new startup, welcoming its first patients in October 2026. We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our FT team in Clarksville, IN, providing rehabilitative care to adults across a wide range of diagnoses.

You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, delivering therapy plans, performing assessments, and educating patients and families on treatment options and exercises to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross (online certification not acceptable).
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat referred patients aged 18 and older with rehabilitation needs.
• Assist in patient care to assess medical condition, functional capabilities, and rehab potential.
• Administer treatment programs under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and families on appropriate physical therapy methods.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric who are experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis or conditions requiring rehabilitation.Assistsin patient care to assesstheirmedical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients’capacityand tolerance under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist. Educate patients and familiesinappropriate physicaltherapy methods.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure asanPhysical Therapist Assistant
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American RedCross. Online certification is not acceptable

Desired Experience

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
