Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. The PTA will assist in planning and implementing treatment programs under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, supporting recovery for patients across outpatient settings.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an approved PTA program and hold Florida licensure; preferred 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Preferred: 2 years treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, organization and implementation of specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician and under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. May supervise work of support personnel.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Required Experience:

Preferred: 2 years treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Current Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Florida.
