Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system serving a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. TMH offers a 772-bed acute care hospital with extensive trauma, stroke, neonatal, pediatric, and cancer programs, plus residency training and affiliated practices.

The role requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and eligible Florida license to practice.

Qualifications

• DPT degree required by CAPTE-accredited program.
• Master’s degree in physical therapy (CAPTE-accredited) conferred before 2019 may be accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from CAPTE-accredited program conferred before 2000 may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician.
• Plans, organizes and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to physical therapy principles and practices.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Supervises the work of support personnel.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (or equivalent) from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited educational program. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2019 and bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE accredited educational program conferred prior to 2000 may be accepted

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Current Florida Physical Therapist license. Temporary permit may be accepted.
