Job summary

Morningside Ministries is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in a Texas facility. You will initiate and deliver treatment plans, supervise therapy staff, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to implement plans of care for residents.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, timely discharge summaries, and participation in discharge planning and care plan development for residents.

Qualifications

• Current Texas PTA certification is required.
• At least 1 year of related rehab experience preferred.
• Experience with aging population preferred.
• Strong documentation and regulatory compliance skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate individual physical therapy treatment plans under supervision.
• Deliver PT treatments and modalities per physician orders.
• Plan services within each patient’s capabilities.
• Review daily treatment schedule with residents and assignments.
• Supervise Therapy Tech/Aide and coordinate care.
• Observe treatment effects and recommend changes as needed.
• Record treatment effects accurately and timely.
• Complete discharge summaries on time.
• Direct and/or conduct training for residents and staff.
