Job summary

Morningside Ministries is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement and supervise physical therapy plans for residents. You will deliver treatments under physician orders, and plan services aligned with each resident’s capabilities, while training staff and maintaining clear documentation.

You will work as part of a team, ensure safety and compliance, and contribute to discharge planning and care plan development for residents in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of one year related experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions.
• Proficient working knowledge of the principles and practices of physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Initiate individual physical therapy treatment plans under supervision.
• Deliver PT treatments and modalities per physician orders.
• Plan services within patient capabilities.
• Supervise Therapy Tech/Aide and collaborate with care team.
• Record treatment effects and maintain patient records accurately.
• Complete discharge summaries timely.
• Provide training to residents, staff, and students as directed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and QAAC recommendations.
