Job summary

Highlands Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the therapy team. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to support residents in activities of daily living and contribute to treatment plans aimed at patient growth and independence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention.
• Assist in developing and updating treatment plans and goals with the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct individual and group treatment addressing strength, mobility, balance, gait, and range of motion.
• Monitor residents’ responses and modify treatment in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating resident therapy sessions with the care team.
