Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to support outpatient and inpatient services under leadership supervision. You will assist with treatment plans, educate patients and families, and document care in accordance with guidelines.

Responsibilities include applying modalities, communicating with the care team, traveling between system facilities as needed, and contributing to continuous process improvement. Requires PTA license in Missouri or a compact state.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited PTA program, required.
Licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant in Missouri (or Compact State) upon hire.

Responsibilities

Treat patients using modalities under the plan by a Registered Physical Therapist.
Provide patient/family education.
Document patient responses and input charges; communicate with providers and interdisciplinary team.
Participate in staff meetings and interdisciplinary conferences; contribute to process improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant (Outpatient\\Inpatient) works under the supervision of leadership and treats patients in a variety of modalities, educates the family/patient, and ensures continuity of treatment. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.

Responsibilities

Treats patients using a variety of modalities and procedures under treatment plan formulated by a Registered Physical Therapist.
Provides patient/family education.
Documents patients' response to treatment program, communicates with providers, Physical Therapist, and other interdisciplinary team members, and inputs charges as appropriate.
Participates in staff meetings, family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings, as appropriate.
Participates in continual process improvement.
Other duties as assigned

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. - Required

Work Experience

Licenses and Certifications

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Licensed in state of Missouri. - Required within 60 Days Or
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Compact State License - Required Upon Hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Upon Hire

Travel Requirements

Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
