Job summary

Mission Hospital McDowell, part of HCA Healthcare, invites you to join our Physical Therapy Assistant team in Marion, NC. You will deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training, document progress, and educate patients on home programs to restore mobility and independence.

You'll work alongside PTs, nurses, and the care team to provide excellent patient care and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy
• BLS Certification within 90 days of employment

• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs

Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: Uses procedures and techniques to change condition/function consistent with the rehabilitation diagnosis and prognosis, supervises and coordinates therapeutic care, and communicates evaluation results to patients, families and appropriate staff. Teaches and mentors other staff and participates in the management of resources for patient care and organizational improvements. May provide services off-site within the scope of the job description as needed by the department.

Your responsibilities will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant

• Preferred Education: None

• Required License: Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy. BLS Certification required within 90 days of employment.

• Preferred License: None

• Required Experience: None required – new graduate eligible

• Preferred Experience: Clinical affiliations covering a wide variety of rehabilitation settings as part of the A.S. program
