Job summary

Advance Rehabilitation Physical Therapy in Folkston, GA seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help patients improve mobility, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgeries.

You will perform a wide range of therapeutic interventions, record progress in EMR, and collaborate with the team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
  • Ability to obtain licensure as a Georgia Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environment.
  • Compassion and patience when working with patients of all ages and conditions.
  • Basic PC skills, including EMR system proficiency.
  • Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and movements.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.
  • Goal-oriented approach to patient care and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Accurately record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts (EMR).
  • Measure and document patients' range of motion, strength, and vital signs as needed.
  • Report patient status to physicians and other healthcare personnel.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and families on use of assistive devices and home exercise techniques.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs and progress.
  • Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our healthcare team in Folkston, GA. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping patients improve their mobility, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgeries under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Perform a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, ADL training, and wound dressing
  • Accurately record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts
  • Measure and document patients' range of motion, strength, and vital signs as needed
  • Report patient status to physicians and other healthcare personnel
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and home exercise techniques
  • Assist in quality assurance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Maintain technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes
  • Adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs and progress
  • Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
Qualifications
