Qualifications

• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment.
• Knowledge of patient needs and safety.
• Knowledge of strengthening techniques.
• Knowledge of restraints and aggression management practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to create and maintain records and write brief reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Help treat patients by preparing heat and ice packs, paraffin dips, assisting patients to the pool, guiding exercises, and monitoring motion.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment by preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and routines.
• Prepare patients for therapy by welcoming and assisting into sessions.
• Provide information to patients and address questions; reassure concerns.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a safe work environment.
• Provide and deliver equipment to treatment area and position patients as needed.
• Prepare the treatment room and assist with scheduling and front desk duties.
