Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring Physical Therapist Aides to support therapists in a collaborative setting. You will assist with therapy sessions, prepare materials, manage front desk duties, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in our state-of-the-art facility.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate recording of activities, and teamwork with licensed therapists. On-site hours include weekday evenings and requirements may include some travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home office.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment.
• Knowledge of patient behavior and needs.
• Knowledge of proper strengthening techniques.
• Knowledge of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices.
• Ability to complete in-service training.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions.
• Ability to maintain professional attitude and conduct.
• Ability to create and maintain records and write brief reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare heat and ice packs, paraffin dips, assist patients to the pool and to equipment.
• Monitor patient motion and exertion; guide prescribed exercises and strengthening.
• Ensure equipment operation and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients on equipment use and exercise routines.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with front desk duties as needed.
• Answer calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with good service.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Provide front desk coverage and scheduling assistance.
