Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
• Pre-Physical Therapy coursework degree or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Personable, energetic, and capable of working with a diverse patient population and in a team environment.
• Reliable and professional with commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Dress in clinic-appropriate attire to convey professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Direct ambulatory patients to treatment areas (including those using wheelchairs).
• Confer with therapy staff for planning and coordinating treatment.
• Instruct patients performing therapeutic exercises and record treatments.
• Properly fit/position patients on exercise equipment.
• Observe patient responses and report progress to therapist.
• Safely administer treatment modalities under supervision.
• Assist hand therapist with splint making and hand therapy exercises.
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain clinic cleanliness.
• Handle basic clerical duties (phone, messages, forms).
• Maintain and disinfect equipment and restock rooms.
