Job summary

Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery in Portland, OR is seeking a per diem Physical Therapy Aide to assist our physical therapy team with coverage across clinics. The role involves patient set-ups, transport, assisting with ambulation and therapy techniques, and maintaining department inventory.

Under supervision of the Physical Therapist and PT Assistants, you will help with equipment upkeep, light housekeeping, linen changes, and general clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school, GED or equivalent required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
• BLS certified.
• Prior healthcare setting experience preferred, PT office experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support an environment that reinforces our mission and core values.
• Administer routine patient treatment and care under direct supervision.
• Monitor patient reactions and report changes to therapist.
• Transport/escort patients to treatment.
• Assist with department maintenance and light housekeeping.
• Change linen in treatment areas per procedure.
• Maintain equipment and linen inventory.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties as assigned.
• Attend staff meetings and stay informed of department procedures.
• Use PT exercise software to format patient programs.
• Train other PT Aides as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
