Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Aide to join our team. You will assist therapists, prepare materials, and help patients with exercises in our state-of-the-art facility in New York.

The schedule includes Tue 8am-12pm, Thu 8am-1pm, Fri 12pm-7pm, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care and efficient front desk support. Responsibilities include scribal tasks, equipment prep, patient transport, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Must cover 15-20 minutes from home office and arrange transport.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment.
• Knowledge of patient behaviors and needs.
• Knowledge of strengthening techniques.
• Ability to complete in-service training.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare heat/ice packs, paraffin dips, pool assistance, and guiding exercises.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment and troubleshoot.
• Educate patients on equipment use and exercise routines.
• Prepare patients for therapy sessions and provide comforting support.
• Answer patient and physician inquiries with excellent service.
• Maintain confidentiality and a clean, safe environment.
• Manage inventory and front desk duties as needed.
• Provide front desk coverage and scheduling support.
