Job summary

SportsCare Physical Therapy in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, is seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Aide to support therapists and patients in delivering high-quality care. You will assist with therapy sessions, set up treatment spaces, and help maintain a positive clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology is beneficial.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Patient Care: Provide direct support to patients during their therapy sessions, following the guidance of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
• Prepare Treatment Areas: Set up treatment areas and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
• Patient Education: Explain exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms clean and sanitized to maintain a safe environment.
• Laundry and Supplies: Assist with laundry duties and restock supplies as needed.
• Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records including progress documentation.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained and report issues.
• Communication: Communicate with patients and staff to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
