Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring Physical Therapist Aides to join as floaters covering Central and Eastern Long Island. Your clinic location will vary based on staffing needs; you will support patient care across all clinics in the region.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from your home office.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of the equipment used in therapy work.
• Knowledge of the behavior and needs of patients.
• Knowledge of proper strengthening techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Help treat patients by preparing heat and ice packs; assisting patients to the pool; guiding patients through prescribed exercises.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Prepare the treatment room for patients and provide front desk coverage as needed.
• Maintain inventory of therapy supplies and assist with scheduling.
• Answer calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients with excellent customer service.
