Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation within a 22-county North Florida service area. The role requires current Florida licensure and a DPT, with advanced degrees considered for equivalency.

The therapist will design and implement patient-specific treatment plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to program quality and outcomes in a private, nonprofit hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy conferred before 2019 may be accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy conferred before 2000 may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician.
• Plans, organizes and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Supervises work of support personnel.
• Reports: Director/Rehabilitation; Supervises: Physical Therapy Assistant.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (or equivalent) from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited educational program. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2019 and bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE accredited educational program conferred prior to 2000 may be accepted

Required Experience:

None

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Current Florida Physical Therapist license. Temporary permit may be accepted.
