Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time physical therapist for our In-Home Physical Therapy Program in Connecticut. This role involves treating patients requiring in-home physical therapy following total joint replacements. If you enjoy working with an active patient population in a home setting, this caseload is exclusively post-total joint replacement cases. Our organization operates as an outpatient center, which simplifies documentation compared to traditional home health settings. An ideal candidate has solid ortho skills, but we are open to considering new graduates. The workload is estimated at 28 visits per week for a full-time 40-hour work week. The therapist will serve patients in upper Fairfield and Litchfield counties, with mileage paid as part of the compensation package.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to state practice acts and supervision laws.
  • Complete required training and comply with regulations.
  • Evaluate, treat, and document patient needs clearly.
  • Maintain respectful communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, families, and payors.
  • Participate in facility meetings as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program.
  • Valid state PT license/registration required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week with occasional early or late shifts.
  • CPR certification required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients frequently, capable of lifting 50 pounds independently.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach during shifts.
  • Sufficient visual acuity for assessment and documentation.
  • Effective speaking and hearing skills.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment.
  • Fine motor skills for documentation and equipment handling.
