Select Physical Therapy is seeking a FULL time physical therapist for our In-Home Physical Therapy Program in Connecticut. This role focuses on patients needing in-home physical therapy following total joint replacements. If you enjoy working with a healthy and active patient population in a home setting, this caseload is 100% post-total joint replacement. Our organization operates as an outpatient center, making documentation less cumbersome than traditional home health settings. An ideal candidate has solid ortho skills, but we are open to considering new graduates. The position involves approximately 28 visits per week within a 40-hour work week, serving patients in upper Fairfield and Litchfield counties. Mileage is compensated as part of the package.

Responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to state practice acts and supervision laws
  • Completing required training and complying with regulations
  • Evaluating and treating patients, documenting medical necessity
  • Maintaining respectful communication with team members, physicians, patients, and payors
  • Participating in meetings as directed

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program
  • Valid state license/registration required
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week with flexible hours for patient needs
  • CPR certification required

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients frequently, capable of lifting 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, reach during shifts
  • Sufficient vision and hearing for patient care and documentation
  • Ability to push equipment and handle diagnostic tools
  • Fine motor skills for documentation and equipment handling
