Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time physical therapist for our in-home physical therapy program in Connecticut. This role involves working with patients needing in-home therapy following total joint replacements. If you prefer a healthy, active patient population in a home setting, this caseload is exclusively post-surgical total joint replacements. Our organization operates as an outpatient center, which means less documentation compared to traditional home health settings. An ideal candidate has solid ortho skills, but we are open to considering new graduates. Expect approximately 28 visits per week for a full-time 40-hour work week, serving the general New Milford area. Mileage is paid as part of the compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state practice acts and laws governing physical therapy practice and supervision
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with regulations
• Evaluate, treat, and document patient needs clearly and appropriately
• Maintain respectful communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, families, and payors
• Participate in meetings as directed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program
• Valid state license/registration required
• Ability to work 40 hours/week, with occasional flexible shifts
• CPR certification required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift patients frequently, capable of lifting 50 pounds alone
• Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach throughout shifts
• Sufficient visual acuity for assessments and documentation
• Clear speech and hearing for communication
• Ability to push equipment in the community and facility
• Fine motor skills for documentation and equipment handling
