Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a staff Physical Therapist to join the Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. You will evaluate movement dysfunctions, design therapies to restore mobility, and work to reduce pain while promoting independence for our patients in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires a PT degree (Bachelor’s) or higher from a CAPTE-accredited program, Michigan licensure, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; Master’s/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program may be required.
• Current State of Michigan licensure is required.
• Current CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to diagnose movement dysfunctions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote mobility and reduce pain.
• Restore function and prevent disability through evidence-based interventions.
• Complete FIM certification exam within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.

As a Physical Therapist - Staff, you will play a vital role in evaluating and diagnosing movement dysfunctions, implementing interventions to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Required Qualifications

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of experience OR Master's/Doctorate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current State of Michigan licensure.
• Current CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with FIM scoring and certification processes.

Additional Information

Experience in Acute Care Physical Therapy is preferred. Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation is a plus. Role REQUIRES 2 WEEKEND DAY coverage a month and 2 HOLIDAYS a year.
