Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Clinton Township (Macomb County) seeks a Physical Therapist - Staff to evaluate movement dysfunctions and implement interventions to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability at the inpatient rehab unit.

The role requires MI licensure, a PT degree, and CPR certification; 2 weekend days and 2 holidays per year; the team offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for advancement within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Master's/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program preferred.
• Current State of Michigan licensure required.
• Current CPR certification required (or within 90 days of hire).
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred.
• FIM scoring knowledge and certification processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to diagnose movement dysfunctions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote mobility and reduce pain.
• Restore function and prevent disability through evidence-based interventions.
• Complete the FIM certification exam within 90 days of hire and maintain it thereafter.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of experience OR Master's/Doctorate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current State of Michigan licensure.
• Current CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with FIM scoring and certification processes.

Additional Information

Experience in Acute Care Physical Therapy is preferred. Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation is a plus. Role REQUIRES 2 WEEKEND DAY coverage a month and 2 HOLIDAYS a year.
